Branko Petrić - President

Branko Petrić was born in 1959 in Derventa. After completing elementary and high school, he graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, Criminal Law Department.
Upon finishing his studies, he returned to his birthplace Derventa where he worked in municipal administration bodies. After he had passed the judicial exam, he advanced to the position of Chief of Service, after which he became Secretary General of the municipality of Derventa. From 1992 until 1996 he assumed the office of the President of the Central Court in Derventa, and from 1996 until 1998 he took the office of Minister of Justice in the Government of Republika Srpska.
From 1998 until 2001 he was the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Slovenia.

After the expiration of his mandate, he established a lawyer’s office. The BiH Parliament appointed him as a member of the BiH Central Election Commission in June 2004, and the Central Election Commission appointed him its President in August 2005.
In the BiH Central Election Commission, he is especially in charge of the Department for Auditing Financial Operations of Political Parties.
After expiry of the seven year mandate he is re-appointed as member of the BiH Central Election Commission on September 23, 2011.

At the 58th session of the BiH Central Election Commission held on September 29, 2011 he was again entrusted with the mandate of the president of the BiH Central Election Commission.
