GLOBAL ELECTION DAY
Sarajevo, February 06, 2013– On the occasion of the initiative by the Association of Election Officials of Europe (ACEEEO) to traditionally celebrate first Thursday in February as “Global Election Day”, the BiH Central Election Commission in cooperation with the election administration in BiH will tomorrow organize regional meetings in Mostar, Brčko District of BiH and Sarajevo. The meetings will bring together representatives of election commissions in BiH.
On the occasion of this initiative Torun, Poland will on February 7, 2013 host the meeting of the Executive Board of the Association of Election Officials of Europe (ACEEEO) that will be attended by Mr. Branko Petrić, president of the BiH CEC and Mrs. Irena Hažiabdić, member of the BiH CEC.
The meeting will represent the results of action for the youth “I decide, I vote”, and a workshop under title “Basic principles of Election Law are European Electoral Heritage” will be also organized.
