CONFERENCE “2014 GENERAL ELECTIONS – LESSONS LEARNED”
Sarajevo, March 20, 2015 – The three day conference „2014 General Elections- Lessons Learned“ has started yesterday in Hotel Kardial, Teslić. The conference is organized by the BiH Central Election Commission in cooperation with the Association of election officials of BiH (AEOBiH).
The objective of the conference is to analyze the 2014 General Elections, to summarize the conclusions and to formulate proposals for improvement of the electoral process. The conference is held through three workshops. Topics of the workshops are: “Challenges in electoral process with the focus on invalid ballots and the election administration performance”; “Election risk management – Global experiences and their application in Bosnia and Herzegovina” and “Necessity of changes to the election legislation”.
Adoption of the final conclusions of the conference is scheduled for tomorrow, and the BiH CEC will publish the conclusions after being edited for publishing.
Aside to the BiH CEC’s members, employees of the BiH CEC’s Secretarial, election administration and the members of the AEOBiH the conference has brought together representative of political parties, nongovernmental organizations and domestic and international election experts.
