IRENA HADŽIABDIĆ AT THE 60th ANNIVERSARY OF THE UN COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN
Sarajevo, March 16, 2016 – Upon invitation of Madeleine Albright, president of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and first woman ever to hold the post of the US Secretary of State, Mrs. Irena Hadžiabdić, member of the Central Election Commission and member of the Board of Directors of the International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES), will participate as a panelist at the Conference in New York, which is to launch a global action to stop violence against women in politics.
This high level Conference will be held on March 17, 2016. During her three-day stay in New York, Mrs. Hadžiabdić will attend other events that are organized in the UN headquarters on the occasion of 60th anniversary of the UN Commission on the status of women.
