ELECTIONS IN STOLAC ANNULLED IN REPEATED PROCEDURE

Sarajevo, January 26, 2017 – The BiH Central Election Commission has at today’s session, acting upon Decision of the Appellate Division of the BiH Court in a repeated procedure, passed the Decision on annulling elections held on October 2, 2016 in constituency Stolac for mayor and for the municipal council at all regular polling stations, as well as voting by mobile teams, voting in absentia and by-mail voting. The decision will be available today on the BiH CEC’s website, but it is not final. An appeal can be filed to the Appellate Division of the BiH Court within two day. The deadline for the appeal ends on Saturday January 28, 2017 at 24:00 hours.

 

With reference to the new decision on annulling the election in Stolac, a conclusion was adopted on requesting additional funds from the reserves of the BiH Institution’ 2017 budget in the amount of 14.500 KM that are necessary for delivery of ballots to voters outside BiH. The amount of 19.000 KM was ensured in the same way for other activities concerning conduct of repeated elections in constituency Stolac.

               

The BiH CEC has today confirmed the results of indirect elections for City Council of City of Sarajevo from 4 municipal councilors (Stari Grad Sarajevo, Centar Sarajevo, Novo Sarajevo and Novi Grad Sarajevo). Mandate were awarded to 28 newly elected councilors in the City Council of City of Sarajevo. The decision will be published today on the BiH CEC's website. All conditions for establishment of the City Council of City of Sarajevo were met today after the decision was passed.
