Sarajevo, 27.11.2019 – In organization of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and with the support of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) an expert workshop “Central Voters’ Register – Experiences and recommendations for improvement” was held today in Sarajevo.
Procedures of voter register in BiH were analyzed during the workshop, whist the most significant portion of the workshop was dedicated to the role of Registry Offices and competent agencies/ministries in terms of information relevant for accuracy of the voters’ register. Experiences and ideas for improvement of the CVR preparation process were exchanged.
A total of 70 participants attended the workshop – representatives of the municipal/city election commissions, centers for voters’ register, registry offices, entity and cantonal ministries of interior, BiH Ministry for human rights and refugees, IDDEEA, EU Delegation to BiH, OSCE, IFES and embassies in BiH.
