Receipt of candidates’ lists on Saturday, August 15, 2020
In line with the Instruction of deadlines and sequence of electoral activities for the Local Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, scheduled for November 15, 2020 the deadline for submission of candidates’ lists expires on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 16 hours.
The BiH Central Election Commission informs the certified political subjects that the departments in the BiH CEC’s Secretariat responsible for receipt of the candidates’ lists will work on Saturday August 15, 2020 from 8 to 16 hours.
The deadline for submission of candidates’ lists started on August 5, 2020. The BiH Central Election Commission has been never determining the time at which political subjects will submit candidates’ lists. However, it does not prevent political subject to announce submission of candidates’ lists at certain time and to have that announcement respected by the BiH CEC. If several political subjects request submission of candidates’ lists at the same time slot, the BiH CEC will make a schedule, meet everyone’s requests and set the time slot for political subjects according to the order of request submission.
As before, the receipt of the candidates’ lists at the BiH CEC is now also done simultaneously by several teams respecting all epidemiological measures prescribed by the competent authorities due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Instruction on operations of the BiH CEC at time of COVID-19.
