Ambassador the Federal Republic of Germany to BiH met with the president and members of the BiH CEC
Sarajevo, May 23, 2022 - Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to BiH, H.E. Margaret Maria Uebber, has met today with the President and members of the Central Election Commission of BiH.
The main topic of the meeting was the organization and conduct of the 2022 General Elections in BiH, with an emphasis on the challenges faced by the Central Election Commission of BiH regarding the financing of elections.
The interlocutors also discussed the activities carried out by the Central Election Commission of BiH with the aim of strengthening the integrity, transparency and efficiency of the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the contribution of the Central Election Commission of BiH to the reform of the election legislation in BiH.
Ambassador Uebber emphasized out that the Federal Republic of Germany fully supports holding of the General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina scheduled for October 2, 2022.
