Verified Candidate Lists of the Municipal Council of Stari Grad Sarajevo for the Election of Members to the City Council of Sarajevo
Sarajevo, 9 December 2024 – Based on the report on the verification of candidate lists from the Municipal Council of Stari Grad Sarajevo for the election of members of the City Council of Sarajevo, today the Central Election Commission of BiH has verified all nine (9) submitted candidate lists containing 25 candidates.
In accordance with Article 2.9, paragraph (1), point 6 of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Article 62 of the Instruction on the procedure for the implementation of indirect elections for government bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina covered by the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo submitted on 5 December 2024, the candidate lists for the election of councillors to the City Council of Sarajevo for certification and verification by the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A total of nine (9) candidate lists were submitted, containing 25 candidates for the election of members of the City Council of Sarajevo, as follows:

In accordance with the provisions of the Election Law of BiH, the following checks were conducted on the proposed candidate lists:
- Whether the CANDIDATE LIST was submitted by an authorized proposer,
- Whether the candidacy was submitted in accordance with Article 13.10 of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
- Whether all candidate lists were submitted on forms prescribed by the Central Election Commission of BiH,
- Whether each candidate provided a signed statement of acceptance of the candidacy in accordance with Article 61 of the Instruction on the procedure for the implementation of indirect elections for government bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Whether the statement regarding membership from among constituent people or the group of others aligns with the statement in the declarations and any candidacy in the 2022 General Elections, in accordance with Article 62, paragraph (2) of the Instruction on the procedure for the implementation of indirect elections for government bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
