Central Election Commission of BiH Postpones Elections at All Polling Stations in Fojnica
Sarajevo, 6 October 2024 – This morning, the Central Election Commission of BiH, during the continuation of its 75th session, adopted a Decision on the amendment of the Decision to postpone the conduct of the 2024 Local Elections in basic constituencies declared in a state of natural disaster. This amendment extends the postponement of elections not only in Jablanica, Konjic, Kiseljak, and Kreševo, but also at all polling stations within the basic constituency of Fojnica.
In light of the fact that the Municipal Election Commission of Fojnica has been informed that this decision shall be discussed at the CEC BiH session, they have been instructed to delay the opening of polling stations. This is to ensure that all election materials are returned to the Municipal Election Commission under police escort, following the established procedures for the transfer of materials, without any compromise.
