The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has at its 18^th session, held on February 2, 2021, passed the decisions on holding early elections for the Mayor of Travnik and the Mayor of Foča (FBiH).

Early elections for mayors of Travnik and Foča (FBiH) will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Polling stations will be open from 07:00 to 19:00. Electoral silence begins on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 07:00 and lasts until the closing of the polling stations, or until 19:00 on Sunday, April 11, 2021

The ballot for the election of the Mayor of Travnik contains two candidates on behalf of two certified political entities, while the ballot for the Mayor of Foča (FBiH) contains four candidates (two independent candidates and two candidates on behalf of two certified political entities).

A total 77 regular polling stations have been determined for the purpose of holding early elections in Travnik, as well as three mobile teams and one special COVID-19 mobile team, while three regular polling stations have been determined for holding early elections in Foča (FBiH), together with two mobile teams and one special COVID-19 mobile team.

The right to vote in the early elections for the Mayor of the Municipality of Travnik, according to the voters’ register concluded at midnight on March 22, 2021, have 47.782 voters, including 214 voters registered to vote in absentia, who exercise the right to vote in person at the polling station in Travnik, and 746 voters registered to vote by-mail.

The right to vote in the early elections for the mayor of the Municipality of Foča (FBiH), according to the concluded voters’ register concluded at midnight on March 22, 2021, have 1.605 voters, including 31 voters registered to vote in absentia, who exercise the right to vote in person at the polling station in Foča (FBiH) and 13 voters registered to vote by-mail.

The Central Election Commission of BiH has accredited 122 observers of citizens' associations to observe the early elections in Travnik and Foča (FBiH), while the Municipal Election Commission is responsible for accrediting observers of political entities to observe the work of polling stations and thr municipal election commissions. The Central Election Commission of BiH also accredited one observer on behalf of the political entity to observe the work of the Main Counting Center and the work of the Central Election Commission of BiH.

Early elections for mayor of Travnik and Foča (FBiH) are being held under conditions of COVID-19 pandemic and will be conducted in accordance with the Instruction on operations of the election management bodies on the Election Day under conditions Covid-19 pandemic of 26 June 2020 and in compliance with all prescribed epidemiological measures of the competent authorities.
