WHITE RIBBON CAMPAIGN
Sarajevo, December 06, 2016 – After considering the reports on verification process, the BiH Central Election Commission has at today’s session certified nine (9) candidates’ lists from the Municipal Council Novi Grad Sarajevo for election of councilors to the City Council of Sarajevo. The lists contain 28 candidates. Nine (9) candidates’ lists with 25 candidates from the Municipal Assembly Pale for election of councilors to the City Assembly of East Sarajevo were also verified at today’s session.
Members of the BiH CEC have supported the campaign “16 days of activism – white ribbons”. By wearing white ribbons the BiH CEC’s members joined the campaign of the Gender Equality Agency and the BiH Ministry for human rights and refugee, making a pledge to end violence against women and girls.
