Annual meeting of European and Eurasian Electoral Justice Network and the Global Electoral Justice Network

Paris, 17.10.2023– Organized by the Constitutional Council of the Republic of France and the Global Network on Electoral Justice, a colloquium was held yesterday in Paris on the election campaign within the framework of changes in the democratic public sphere, disinformation, the organization of new forms of election campaigns and different models of control of the election process. This colloquium was a prelude to the annual meeting of the European and Eurasian Electoral Justice Network and the Global Electoral Justice Network taking place today.
 
At the invitation of the organizers, dr. Suad Arnautović, president of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is participating in both meetings.
 
The annual meeting of the European and Eurasian Electoral Justice Network and the Global Electoral Justice Network is organized by the Regional Office for Europe of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems in cooperation with USAID, OSCE/ODIHR and the Global Electoral Justice Network.
 
The topics of this year's meeting are the independence of electoral judges and election management bodies, internal and external threats faced by judges and/or election management bodies, and election campaign financing.
 
As part of the panel on measures and tools for guaranteeing the independence and impartiality of electoral judges and election management bodies during elections, dr. Arnautović held a presentation on the topic of ensuring the independence and impartiality of election management bodies “Case Studies - General Elections in BiH 2022”.
 
Participants in these events are the presidents of the election management bodies, judges, presidents of legal commissions and members of the academic community.
