Display of provisional excerpts from the Central Voters’ Register
Sarajevo, 11.06.2024- The provisional excerpt from the Central Voters' Register is made public during the period between 120 and 90 days prior to the Election Day. For the upcoming local elections of 2024, scheduled for October 6, 2024, the exhibition period will be from June 8, 2024, to July 8, 2024.
The provisional excerpt from the Central Voters' Register was compiled based on data available on the day of the election announcement, specifically on May 8, 2024. It includes information organized by basic electoral units and polling stations from previous elections. Notably, this excerpt does not include details such as the unique identity number and address of the voter.
Election commissions are required to exhibit temporary excerpts from the Central Voters' List within the designated period at the Center for Voters' List, local communities, and other appropriate locations as outlined in the display plan. This ensures accessibility for voters to review, verify, and amend their data at the relevant authorities. Additionally, this enables voters to select the voting option for displaced persons within Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifying their municipality or place of voting, as well as the preferred method of voting—either in person or by absentee ballot.
he Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina invites all citizens of BiH who possess the right to vote to examine the provisional excerpts. Should they identify any discrepancies or the need for corrections or additions to their data, we urge them to promptly reach out to the appropriate registry office and the center for voters' list to facilitate the necessary amendments.
Furthermore, we encourage anyone who possesses information indicating the inclusion of deceased individuals' names on the excerpts to immediately inform the relevant registry office and the center for voters' list. This will enable the initiation of procedures to register these individuals in the registry book of the deceased and to remove their data from the voter lists designated for use in the 2024 Local Elections.
