Certification of coalitions and independent candidates commences
Sarajevo, 21.06.2024. – Today, at its 35th session, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina commenced the certification process for coalitions and lists of independent candidates to participate in the upcoming 2024 local elections.
By the deadline, a total of 59 applications for coalition certification and 9 applications for independent candidate lists were submitted.
Of these, 55 coalitions that meet certification requirements and all 9 lists of independent candidates have been certified. Four registered coalitions have been granted a two-day deadline from the date of notification to rectify deficiencies in their applications. This deadline expires on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 16:00 hours.
A preliminary overview of certified coalitions and the list of independent candidates will be accessible to the public on the Central Election Commission of BiH website at www.izbori.ba.
