New election technologies at 458 polling stations in this year’s elections

SARAJEVO 16 August, 2024 – At today’s session, the Central Election Commission has determined 458 polling stations at 24 basic constituencies for the implementation of pilot projects in this year’s elections.

The first pilot project ‘Voter authentication and transmission of results’, implemented by the Central Election Commission of BiH with the support of the European Union, will be carried out at 165 polling stations, i.e. 11 basic constituencies.

The second pilot project refers to the use of optical ballot scanners with automatic transmission of results, implemented by the Central Election Commission of BiH with the support of USAID, will be carried out at 145 polling stations in 7 basic constituencies.

The third pilot project involves identification and self-authentication of voters, implemented by the Central Election Commission with the support of OSCE at 138 polling stations in the District of Brčko.

 

The fourth pilot project ‘Video surveillance’, implemented by the Central Election Commission of BiH, will be carried out at 10 polling stations, i.e. 5 basic constituencies.
