A-WEB Delegation Visits the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Sarajevo, 27 August 2024 – The Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) visited the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of its preparatory visit for the observation mission of the Local Elections scheduled for 6 October 2024.
During the meeting, the A-WEB delegation, comprising Dr. Seung Kim, Director of the Training and Election Observation Department, Mr. Kgosietsile M. Tshoke, Research Lead, and Mr. Max Hongpyo Ahn, Senior Researcher, was thoroughly briefed on the latest amendments to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Furthermore, the delegation was introduced to the pilot projects currently being implemented by the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina with support from the European Union, USAID, and the OSCE Mission.
The visit aimed to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the current electoral framework and preparations for the upcoming elections, as well as to strengthen international cooperation in the field of election observation and the enhancement of the electoral process.
