Presidents and Deputy Presidents of Polling Station Committees for the 2024 Local Elections Appointed
Sarajevo, 27 September 2024 – The Central Election Commission of BiH, during today’s session, adopted the Decision regarding the appointment of Presidents and Deputy Presidents of Polling Station Committees for the 2024 Local Elections.
The Decision has appointed 5,753 Presidents and 4,439 Deputy Presidents of Polling Station Committees. Remaining Presidents and Deputy Presidents shall be appointed once the necessary conditions are met. This Decision will be published on the website of the Central Election Commission of BiH, and complaints may be submitted within 72 hours.
The Central Election Commission of BiH has removed 806 names from the lists of candidates for Presidents and Deputy Presidents of Polling Station Committees. Of these, 340 candidates were removed because they appeared on the candidate lists for the elections in 2020, 2022, and 2024. The remaining candidates were removed due to withdrawals or potential affiliations with political parties identified as party activists.
