Premature Submission of Requests for a Recount of Ballots
Sarajevo, 8 October 2024 – In accordance with Article 5.29a of the Election Law of BiH, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina shall publish preliminary results daily at 15:00 until Saturday, 12 October 2024.
The official election results shall be announced only after combining the results from regular polling stations, absentee voting locations, mobile voting teams, unverified ballots, and overseas voting.
Only after the Central Election Commission of BiH announces the official election results may the subjects specified in Article 5.30, paragraph (1) of the Election Law of BiH submit a request for a recount of ballots within three days, under the conditions and in the manner prescribed by that Article.
The Central Election Commission of BiH is currently publishing preliminary results, and therefore, it is premature to submit requests for a recount of ballots.
